Jenno Morson is our Director of Tennis. Jenno is also the Founder of Morson Performance Tennis (MPT). He is committed to developing junior and adult players and giving them the fundamentals they need in order to reach their full potential. He is known for his active promotion of community programs and youth enrichment/coaching efforts. 

 

During his Junior Tennis Career, he was ranked in the Top 10 Nor Cal boys 16s and 18s singles and #1 doubles. He was in the Top 5 USTA National boys 16s and 18s doubles, reaching the semifinals doubles at Kalamazoo Nationals with partner Jimmy Grabb. In 1982, Jenno received a full scholarship at the University of Utah, D1. He was an NCAA All American in doubles while playing at the U of U. His Western Athletic Conference titles include winning the doubles championships (1984) and in 1986 he played in the NCAA D1 Championship tournament, Athens, Georgia.

 

He began his teaching career as a tennis instructor in 2009 for the Novato Junior Tennis Association. His passion to teach the sport of tennis led to a coaching position for the Sir Francis Drake High Girls and Boys Tennis Team. Following a successful MCAL boys season, he joined the Scott Valley Swim & Tennis Club as a teaching professional (2010) He is committed to community involvement through tennis. He spearheaded and organized successful fundraisers by teaching the USTA Quickstart program to 5-10 year olds. As site leader, he taught for Kidz 4 Tennis (2011), a non profit organization dedicated to introducing tennis to Marin juniors. He worked as a teaching pro for the Belvedere Tennis Club (2011), teaching adult private and group clinics. In 2012 he was the head coach for the Branson Girl's Tennis Team, he successfully lead the team in the post season winning the MCAL in 2012 and NCS Championships Div 2, in 2011, 2012 and finalist 2013, 2014. He coached the Branson Boys Team, winning the NCS Div 2 title 2013. He was awarded the “Branson Distinguished Coaching Award 2013” for his inspirational work in the development of Branson Student Athletes. He has worked extensively with USTA in Junior Development, coaching the USTA 10U TAUT Camps and USTA 10U EDC High Performance Camps 2012-2013. He has been head coach for USTA's National Zonal Team Boys and Girls 16's, 2012 and 2013, winning the national tournament in Utah 2012. Presently, Jenno Morson continues to build the Morson Performance Student Athlete Program and is the Tennis Director for the newly remodeled tennis facility, San Rafael Tennis Center LLC.

Dave Kregel has 37 years of experience in the game of tennis. Trained by Tom Stow, Dave Kregel has been teaching tennis lessons through private lessons and semi-private lessons. Dave is also known to give group lessons to aspiring players.

 

Dave started teaching tennis from 1982, and was teaching tennis in San Francisco before he moved to Marin. Dave is also the Tennis Director at the Dave Kregel Tennis Academy.
